1960年代中期，美國紐約掀起一股新潮流。一羣年輕的詞曲創作者，以真誠的心唱出當代的都會良心。當時最受歡迎的就是年輕創作女歌手---瓊•拜雅。
隨後，瓊•拜雅成為耀眼巨星，她也提攜巴布•迪倫，不但唱紅多首傑出創作，也影響到往後近二十年的音樂進展。特別是她的歌聲清亮婉轉，錄音專輯最適合測試高級音響的聲音定位。
2016年一月間，瓊•拜雅的75歲生日紀念音樂會在紐約Beacon Theater舉行，並透過最佳攝影與錄音團隊，為這場千載難逢的音樂會做出永恆的紀錄。一開場她先唱『God Is God』為所有人祝福，隨後David Bromberg、Mary Chapin Carpenter兩位歌手，先後與她吉他彈唱。音樂會中出現好幾次高潮，當David Crosby與Paul Simon出現時，觀眾發出熱烈回響。名曲『Blackbird』與『The Boxer』，自然贏得喝采。特別是與老牌黑人女歌手Mavis Staples合唱『Oh, Freedom / Ain’t Gonna Let No Body Turn Me Around』以及與茱蒂•考琳絲合唱不朽經典『Diamond And Rust』，更充滿象徵性意義。
This all-star celebration was recorded at New York's Beacon Theatre honoring not only Joan's birthday, but her 50+ year career in music. The intimate, career spanning performance features guest appearances by David Bromberg, Jackson Browne, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Judy Collins, David Crosby, Indigo Girls, Emmylou Harris, Damien Rice, Paul Simon, Mavis Staples, Nano Stern, Richard Thompson and others.
Rolling Stone calls her performance "true to spirit, a folk concert through and through, full of spontaneous sing-alongs and impromptu lyrical ad-libs."
